Background and Technical InfoAll images in this gallery were taken using a 1955 Leica M3 rangefinder camera.Two lenses were used: Leitz Elmar 50/2.8 and Voigtländer 28/3.5. Some of the images were later cropped a bit, but most images are shown "full frame". Filters were used sparingly. The film was Kodak BW 400 CN Professional, later scanned on a Nikon Coolscan IV ED with a warm tone added in post-processing. I shot about 50 images during our eight days in Tokyo.
